did you know the darker a lions mane the older he is?? (at least this is what my daughter tells me!!) Beautiful picture

i haven't worked on it anymore.... i can't right now... cause i really must study a little bit.... and tomorrow i'm gonna stay at my university till late afternonn so i don't think i'll be able to draw... i absolutely don't know when i could draw again..=( what about you??

funny you should ask.... I am working on it right now but I am a little stuck and not sure what direction to take. I could either
1. go for a muted light source from above and just darken the outer regions of the picture and the girl to give a heavy shadow effect
or
2. Go for more direct rays of light coming down from above

If you have a second check it out and let me know what you think as I value your opinion greatly!!

i like your friend's drawing and i'd try that but i would draw the light not directly from aboove but from the upper left corner (slanting rays...) so that the girl would be mostly in the shadows... with this great contrast.. (also because in that background there wouldn't be such a big light source but a little opening from which light comes in, so the contrast would be grater than with a bigger light)
but i can imagine it also with the rays coming down directly from above... i think it works the same(also with the monster on the right, even if it would be less in the dark maybe..)

jeez, i hope i made myself clear.... if i haven't, tell me so!! =)=)
