The Curse of the Golden Flower

i came across this picture two weeks ago more or lss while i was cleaning my room.. i was throwing away old magazines and by chance i opened one and found this picture and i decided to draw it for the oriental theme contest: [link] by

it is a scene from the movie "the curse of the golden flower" and she's Gong Li.

i really had an hard time drawing her hear gear... it was so full of quibbles........ gosh!! and i feel i haven't portraited very well, btw..
and i must say that all the drawing was really complicated... the textures of her kimono... the background sucks, i know.. and i'm depressed..
and btw, in the original picture, everything was goldish.. her kimono, her head gear and also the decorations on the chair behind her... and gold's really difficult to draw.. you can never add the glow it has...
